October Fun

October is always a busy and fun-filled month for us! There is so much to do, so much going on! PLUS, fall is my favorite time of year, so we pack it full of fun!

It's National Dog Day....she deserves some shaved ice!

thumbs up for astronaut food!

Nico's Birthday!
The boys went on their annual hunting/camping trip this month. They traveled out to the Danville conservation area, far far into the woods, and set up camp. Apparently, it was too warm to kill and eat much over the campfire as they have done in the past! Tay and I stayed home and had a girls weekend.

Taylor's classroom decided to collect socks for the homeless. She did a little video and got lots of collections to give. They are always doing special stuff with Ms. Dye.

Mustache Day

Tiger SuperGirl
We attended the Whitacre's Annual Halloween Bash again this year. I was a black cat, Blake was Trump, Tay was a skeleton cat and Billy was a Hanging Chad...lol! Kids always have a blast running around, playing creepy games, and drinking hot cocoa! It was a fun night had by all!

Taylor got to go trick-or-treating twice because she went to visit Aunt Susie and the senior community! This is always so fun and rewarding because the grandma's and grandpa's really enjoy getting to see all the kids in costumes and they give out some really great stuff! Tay even made some money!

Trick-or-Treating

For Halloween this year, Blake dressed up as Donald Trump! It was the perfect costume for him with his blonde hair swooped over like a genuine comb over, bronzed orange skin tone, black fancy suit, and red tie. He even carried his suitcase as his candy bag as we walked from door to door collecting candy. We took a poll as we went along, most every house loved his costume and promised him a vote, sometimes even giving him extra goodies. Only one house told him that they couldn't give him candy because of who he was...lol...we just told them that we understand and its okay because everyone else was giving him extra! LOL!

Taylor decided to wear her skeleton kitty costume. She couldn't wait to join up with Evie to trick or treat the night away. We walked further than we ever had before. Both kids called it a night because they were beat. Unfortunately we missed getting to give out candy to trick or treaters, as they came in a big horde at the very beginning, as the rush was over by the time we got home.

The kids couldn't wait to get home and dump out their treats to see what they got. They made out like bandits, of course. Daddy and Blake watched their fist scary movie together called Halloween. What a creepy end, to a creepy night!

October at the Zoo

We decided to visit the zoo once more this year, it was fall break for the kiddos and we still had lots of membership tickets left to use up. We really enjoy going this time of year because it's decorated for Halloween and the fall weather can't be beat!
