It's Tay's 3rd grade fall party already! It happens to be in February, so we decided to make it a Valentine Party for the kiddos.

Blake's Spring Band Concert

We are soooo proud of how far Blake has come with his trumpet playing in band! It amazes me at how quickly he can pick something up and just do it! Wish it were that easy for me!

Mother's Day

The kids always make sure I wake to them showering me with special gifts. They are so darn sweet. I have the best kiddos ever! Even Sophie pup was telling me how much she loved me! lol! This year we went to Golden Corral for a breakfast buffet too, we all got a variety of yummies and then were full for the day.

2nd grade Memories with Mom

PSE always does special stuff for us Moms around Mother's Day. This year Taylor hosted Memories with Mom event...it was so darn adorable! She invited me into her classroom, had little gifts all set up, even brought me some muffins and donuts to the desk to share. My place mat read: "I love my Mom because she would do anything to save me. I love her and she loves me. She does alot of things me." AWWWW!! (happy tears-sniff sniff) She's so darn cute!

After we had our special time together in her classroom, all of the 2nd grade students gathered together with Mrs. Cassel and sang to all the Moms. It was the sweetest production ever! I love love loved it! I am so blessed...how am I so blessed? Thanks God!

Below is the portrait Taylor created of me and another picture of me wearing the necklace she made and gave to me at school. So sweet!

Guy's Weekend Fishing Trip

The boys got to take the weekend to go to Lake of the Ozarks for a fishing trip. They have gotten to go several times, with one of Billy's fisherman friends from work. His friend is super generous, invites a group of guys-and their sons, down and treats them to his staying at his condo and taking them profession-style fishing around the lake. They boys always have a great time together, I'm glad they get to do this!

This year was FREEZING COLD, even Blake wanted warm clothes on! And YES, that means it was frigid, because he will do just about anything to get out of wearing a coat! lol!

We had lots of friends over, lots of playing with Bandit, dressed in green on St. Patrick's Day (one even did neon green hair...hint hint...Blake)

Easter gathering at Aunt Juanita's

We headed for the lake on Easter morning, Billy couldn't help but take us by his favorite hunting camping spot in the Danville conservation area...it is soooo in the woods, but at least it has an out house at the top of the mountain..lol!

We got to see Allison and Andrew and most all of Billy's Mom's side of the family. It was so good to get to catch up with them! Since it was a nasty rainy kind of day, we mostly had to stay inside and kids barely got to do an egg hunt. But...the egg hunt that they did have was amazing and ginormous! It was the most eggs I have seen at a home ever! Kids were collecting more than they could even carry..lol! Taylor had a blast. Blake is feeling too old to do any of that stuff, I can see him growing up and in that "in between" age where you feel too babyish to do the kid stuff but still too young to pipe in with to much of the adult conversation. He is sweet and will converse but doesn't enjoy just talking for hours like us adults do. Anyways, we stayed long enough to catch up with everyone and then headed back home to our Sophie pup. Taylor said it was the best Easter ever. :)
