Taylor's 6th Birthday!

Why does 6 sound soooo much more grown up than 5? My sweet little girl is 6 years old today!!!
She loves singing, dancing, playing pokemon & MineCraft with her big brother, as well as girly stuff with her friends. She is sassy, but sweet. Cares a lot about others, sometimes getting her feelings hurt when the BFF drama hits. She changes clothes ALOT...loves her pajamas the most, changing into them as she walks in the door!  She loves school and learning to read. She wants to be a big girl, but still loves hanging with her Mom...special girl nights are a fave! Her favorite song is "Beautiful Day" by Jamie Grace or any of the Frozen songs. She still loves animals the most, but also loves her baby Allison.

Blake and I used some balloons from a church event to decorate for her birthday. We love to decorate the night before, so that when she wakes up, she can be surprised. I can always count on Blake to help with decorating and making special occasions extra special!

She woke up to balloons, presents, and a candle atop her birthday breakfast pop-tart! Bubby got her a bundle of tiny puppies and even baby Allison got some goodies. She got hot hues for her hair and a karaoke machine to jam out like the little super star she is!

During these childhood years, it seems that birthdays are more like birth "weeks"! We HAD to do a special birthday morning family surprise, then the special gifts from Aunt Sissy and Melissa, then atlas....the friend tea party that she had been planning for almost a year! She invited just a few of her closest school friends...Ashlynn, Dyllen, Emma, and Evie. The most important event on her agenda was pouring them all some tea from her special teapot! She loved it. She is my so so sweet 6 year old sweetheart.

Happy Heart Day

I love any special occasion where we can show extra special love to each other...Valentine's Day is no different. I will admit though, that this particular Valentine's Day is a bit sad, we just lost our dear friend Joan and her services are tomorrow. I know that she would want lots of love shown on this day and all days, so we shall! The day was filled with lots of hugs, small gifts of affection, and candy...all wonderful things...

Taylor made us a cute gift. It's a big heart covered in her tiny little thumbprint that says, "Thumb-body loves you".  ADORABLE!

Both kids "Dressed for Success" the day before. They did their Valentine parties at school and Taylor was excited to make her very 1st Valentine collection box. She chose an ice cream container, covered with cut outs of puppies and kittens. Totally "her"! Blake felt a bit too grown up to do another collection box...he sure wasn't too big to eat all the goodies that came home though!
